Second printing of this architectural work; without the separately published plates by Angelo Corsi. With a printed tughra and two-page printed dedication (dated January 1, 1863) to the Ottoman Sultan Abdülaziz (1830-76), who had begun his reign in 1861.

Some foxing near beginning and end. 20th-century ballpoint inscription on flyleaf. Possibly bound for Maria Clotilde, princess of Savoy, daughter of King Vittorio Emanuele of Italy, with the Savoy arms and "M" monogram on the elaborately decorated covers.
