Very rare, sole Arabic edition of the Meditations on the Passion of the Christ written by Saint Alphonse de Liguori (1696-1787) and translated by Maksimus ibn Jurjis Mazlum, archbishop of the Melkite Greek Catholic Archeparchy of Aleppo. Printed in Arabic throughout save for the title page.

Old library stamp from Liège (Belgium) under the approbation opposite the title: "Congreg. Missiona. Oblat. M.U. Domus Stud. Leodiensis". Some occasional brownstaining and loosening of quires, still a very good copy. Only three copies known in libraries internationally (Poitiers BU Droit-lettres; Montecassino; Biblioteca Palatina Parma).
