A collection of almost 40 letters (and some cards) to Emilie Schindler, often expressing admiration, well-wishes and birthday congratulations, for example: 1) "Sehr Geehrte Frau Schindler / Sie kennen mich nicht [...] Waehrend des Holocaust verlor ich meine 3 nahen Verwandten [...] Ich las das Buch 'Schindlers Arche' und war mehr als beeindruckt von diesen Dokument [...] Darf ich Ihnen zu Ihrem 80sten Geburtstag meine waermsten Wuensche senden!" ("Dear Mrs Schindler / You do not know me [...] I lost my 3 close relatives in the Holocaust [...] I read the book 'Schindler's Ark' and was much impressed by this document [...] May I send you my warmest wishes for your 80th birthday!", transl.) .

2) A birthday card sent from Leopold "Poldek" Pfefferberg, the Polish-American survivor who inspired Thomas Keneally to write "Schindler's Ark".

3) A card reading "I have heard what you did to save Jewish lives during World War II. You are a remarkable woman [...]".

4) A letter dated December 31st 1994 from a writer who lost her entire family but asks Emilie Schindler if she can visit her to thank her personally for her work.

5) A letter sent from Israel, dated 30th August 1987, reading: "[...] Sie haben nicht nur 1200 Menschen ihr Leben geschenkt, Sie haben auch gezeigt, was es bedeutet Mensch zu sein" ("[...] You have not only given 1200 people their lives, you have also shown what it means to be a human being [...]").

6) "[...] I sincerely believe that your personal heroism was equal or more probably bigger than of any of the soldiers in the field [...]", 11. IX. 1987).
