Illustrations include his mausoleum, the elaborate décor of his castrum doloris, and vanitas motifs. 2 castra doloris were set up in Charles's honour in Vienna, one at the Augustinians' church in 1740, another at St. Michael's in 1741. The artists include Franz Anton Danne, Gustav Adolph Müller, and Johann Christoph Winkler.

In addition, the volume includes an encomium of Emperor Henry III (1016-1056), held at Vienna's St. Stephen's cathedral on 12 July 1739.

Spine partly torn off; covers a little rubbed; extremities lightly bumped. Interior sound; first half a little wormed near the gutter.
