First edition. Rare and attractive work of imperial representation commemorating the 1712 coronation of the Habsburg emperor Charles VI (1685-1740). The splendid mezzotints, the work of Gottlieb Heiss (1684-1740) of Augsburg, allegorically depict the grandeur of the House of Habsburg and their divinely invested sovereignty.
Contemporary handwritten ownership of the library of the Augustian monastery in Klosterneuburg, dated 1742, as well as a later 18th century ownership of Jan Kos (?) to title-page.
Binding rubbed, otherwise in good condition.
