To Mr. Macdougall, thanking for a pair of grouse: "Lord Clarendon returns his best thanks to Mr. Macdougall for a very acceptable Present of a brace of Grouse. Lord Clarendon was at dinner with Company or would have returned a written answer by Mr. Macdougall's messenger. Lord C. is very sensible to Mr. Macdougall's obliging attention".
