To the cellist and conductor Achille Kerrion (1868-1939) with thanks for his flattering offer to conduct one of his works, suggesting to meet in Paris the following day, as he has been working out of town for a couple of months and is unable to visit him immediately, and expressing his hope that Kerrion's sister, the singer Stéphanie Kerrion, might perform his piece: "La perspective d'être joué [...] d'un musicien tel que vous m'est on ne peut plus agréable et très honoré de votre flatteuse demande, je vous en remercie bien sincèrement.

A strip of paper pasted on upper margin, covering a few words of the first line; small crease to lower left corner; the verso a little brownstained.
