[Postmark: Hittfeld], 19. V. 1908.
Oblong 8vo (postcard). 1 page.
Inscribed to Cora Scharlau, a relative of the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau.
A co-founder of the "Stuttgarter Künstlerbund" in 1898, Kalckreuth applied himself to portraiture, landscapes and genre painting, and focused on depicting the weary life of peasants and fishermen with relentless realism.
A few small ink spots and traces of a postmark. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
