To the Austrian art historian Franz Fuhrmann, thanking him for several days spent in Salzburg and expressing his awe of the "incomparable beauty of nature and human creations" in the city.

Brindisi had an exhibition at Galerie Welz in March 1956 that was opened with a presentation by Franz Fuhrmann. During his stay he met the expressionist painter Oskar Kokoschka, who influenced his later work. Inspired by the beauty and history of the city, Brindisi painted "Salzburg - Mozartplatz" in 1956.

The inscription was written to thank Fuhrmann for his presentation. The "biographical note" in German with its added underlinings and annotations probably served Fuhrmann for his presentation.

Well preserved.
