Attractive French miniature Psalter decorated with a delicate fore-edge painting and bound in sumptuous full morocco. Anonymously prepared, the fore-edge painting depicts a view of Notre Dame de Paris from the Seine.

A gift copy inscribed to flyleaf: "A ma bien aimée Suzanne, en souvenir de sa grand' maman et de sa maman. / Mulhouse le 20 4/99".

Extremities slightly rubbed. The beautiful red calf biniding features gilt borders and a gilt spine, the latter showing small abstract ornaments as well as a lyre.
