To a friend about the premiere of his play in two or three months, difficulties with the proper interpretation delaying the production, mentioning that he would love to have him among his first critics, and concluding with his recent move to Paris and his new address: "Ma pièce ne sera pas jouée avant 2 ou 3 mois. Elle devait en effet passer vers cette époque, mais j'ai eu des difficultés d'interprétation qui m'ont retardé. Comptez bien que je ne vous oublierai pas. Vous êtes certainement l'un de ceux que je désire le plus avoir parmi mes juges de la première heure [...] Je suis en ce moment en Alsace, mais notez sur votre livre d'adresser que j'ai déménagé. Je demeure à présent 8 Avenue Percier".
Although Delpit had moved to Paris, he continued to visit Benfeld in Alsace, where he penned the play "Mademoiselle de Bressier" in 1885.
