To the editor and theatre administrator François Buloz (1803-77), informing him that a letter that Buloz had forwarded to Sainte-Beuve was written by the Breton journalist and writer Émile Souvestre (1806-54), and asking him to read and publish Souvestre's article on the historical Cornouaille region on the west coast of Brittany: "La lettre que vous m'envoyez est de M. Souvestre. Soyez assez bon pour lire son article sur la Cornouaille qui doit être bon, car c'est un homme d'un vrai talent. Je voudrais bien que vous le pussiez mettre".
Souvestre's article was indeed published in Buloz's "Revue des deux Mondes" in 1833 (vol. 3, no. 6, pp. 686-709). Buloz took over the Revue in 1831, only two years after its inauguration, and succeeded in transforming it into to the most important literary review in France.
With traces of former mounting and minor browning.
