To the publishing house Librairie Stock, probably its director Maurice Delamain, originally accompanying corrected proofs of his preface to Maurice Vlaminck's "La Haute-Folie" that was published by Stock in 1934: "Je vous renvoye cette épreuve corrigée. Je pense que Vlaminck ne va pas, maintenant, la faire attendre... Bonne année pour vous et les vôtres [...]".
The added letters by Lucien's son Pierre Descaves (1896-1966) are dated 19 June 1945 and 25 October 1949. In the earlier letter to Maurice Delamain of Stock, Desclaves responds to a request for supporting a novel by Henri Queffélec in the competition for the Prix Renaudot.
In the later letter, very likely to Delamain, he thanks the recipient for condolences on the death of his father Lucien.
