To the poet Auguste Lacaussade, announcing his return to Paris and scheduling a meeting to discuss a text: "Je crois j'arriverai pour le 15, mais il me faudra vous lire cela auparavant, et prendre votre impression. Je serai prêt [...] dans quelques cinq jours [...]".
Auguste Lacaussade (1815-97) was Sainte-Beuve's private secretary from 1844 to the early 1850s. Later both men collaborated with Alphonse de Calonne's Revue contemporaine.
