Autograph letter signed ("Vlaminck").
8vo. ¾ p. Together with a later autograph envelope with the same addressee.
To the Parisian editor of illustrated books Bernard Klein, informing him of a wrongly attributed painting and potential forgery: "Je n'ai jamais peint cette toile. C'est une attribution fantaisiste. Mon nom a été mis là, par hasard".
Maurice de Vlaminck collaborated on several of Bernard Klein's projects, usually anthologies like the 1952 publication "Vins, Fleurs et Flammes" with texts and illustrations by important artists. Apart from de Vlaminck, Klein published illustrations by Foujita, Jacques Villon, Paul Cocteau, Maurice Utrillo and many others.
The envelope for a letter to Klein sent from Rueil-la-Gadelière on 8 January 1963.
