The present-day United Arab Emirates are marked "Seeräuberküste" (a literal German translation of "pirate coast"), with Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai identified. The map further details Sinai, Palestine, Syria, Turkey, Iran and Afghanistan, French West Africa, Morocco, Algeria, Tripolitania and Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Darfur and Ethiopia, with Tajikistan in the upper right corner.
