The photographs show "Pilgrims entering Bethlehem on Christmas day" and an apparently English party of three tweed-clad gentlemen, one lady, a photographer-manservant, and two Arab guides posing before the Dead Sea.

The view of Bethlehem shows some fading and bears a caption the French and English, as well as the publisher's name, "Bonfils".
