18th century Luther Bible (New Testament only), elaborately bound in the style of the early 17th century. Also contains the Apocrypha, as frequently transposed from the end of the Old Testament. The map shows the travels of St. Paul (with edge tears and loss to paper). Fol. M3 (p. 137f.) shows tear and loss to pagination. Pages 1233-1236 are erroneously bound after p. 1228. Printed on strong paper; somewhat browned and brownstained throughout. Binding wormed; hinges and raised bands rubbed. Front cover fittings are complete, but three of the lower cover fittings are lost. Some damage to flyleaf and title-page from the fittings' nails, which have pierced the cover.
