The plates depict classical busts, sculptures, vases, candelabra, armours, pitchers, murals, etc. For the ceramist R. Gargiulo (d. 1858) cf. Minghetti, Ceramisti (Milan, 1939).

Some insignificant foxing. Includes a ms. list of plates (8 pp.) at the end. Binding slightly rubbed. From the library of Duke Max in Bavaria (1808-88), father of Empress Elizabeth of Austria, with his shelfmark label.
