This famous compilation of Sunday and holiday sermons by various authors (also known under the title "Sermones dominicales cum expositionibus evangeliorum") enjoyed nearly 90 editions within hardly a century. It was assembled by a Westfalian Franciscan monk who lived around 1300. He collected these sermons "for the profit of slothful and ignorant preachers" (cf. Jöcher, supp. II, 2306).
Spine professionally restored using original material; two missing clasps replaced by a single, central one (probably in the 17th century). Interior slightly browned and fingerstained; some worming. Contemp. ms. dedication at end of pt. 1. Old title stamp shaved; restored paper defects to title and final leaf (slight loss to text on verso of final leaf). Quire Y in pt. 2 has been erroneously bound after quire u in pt. 1.
An appealing copy.
