A fine letter to the art collector and art dealer Johann Friedrich Frauenholz (1758-1822), written during Tischbein's curatorship as head of the Accademia di Belle Arti at Naples. Tischbein discusses a painting which Frauenhold had sent him, and writes about the publication of his works on Red-figure vase painting.
