The photographs depict natives in traditional costume: Arabic women, a snake tamer with a cobra, a camel driver from Sinai, merchants at the Bazar, a fellah family, an Arabic servant and Arabic children, an Arabic school, a Jewish girl from Syria, Bedouin sheikhs and a black chief from Upper Egypt, etc. The photographs, many of which bear captions and the name of the studio, are mainly taken by the Greek photographer Zangaki; others are by Bonfils. Some fading.
