Half-title has autograph pencil inscription to the Austro-Swiss poet Regina Ullmann (1884-1961): "Regina Ullmann / herzlichen Gedenkens / R M Rilke", dated "Schloss Duino bei Triest, Frühling 1912".

Since 1908 Regina Ullmann entertained a lively correspondence with Rilke, who later became her sponsor and mentor. Only in 1912 did they finally meet each other.

Some spotting throughout, binding somewhat bumped with insignificant warping to covers; slight tear to lower spine-end.
