First French translation of the "Sirat as-sulatn Jalaladdin Mankobirti", a biography of the last last Khwarazm-Shah Djalal al-Din Mingirni (Mangubirti) by that ruler's secretary, the Arabic historian al-Nasawi (fl. 1241). This translation by Octave Houdas (1840-1916) was issued to complement his edition of the Arabic text, published in 1891.
