First printing of this Latin edition, based on Federico Commandino's translation. Includes Giambattista Aleotti's "Quatuor theoremata spiritualia" (in Latin translation). A very prettily illustrated work showing the fountains, water-powered machines, and hydraulic organs described by the Greek mathematician and engineer Hero of Alexandria in the first century A.D.
