Second printing of the first edition, distinguished by the corrected page numbering (pp. 524-525); appendices contain a Syriac lexicon and commentary, not published until 1667. "Gutbier was one of the greatest orientalists of his age. He set up a printshop in his own home and had the movable Syrian type for his New Testament cut at his own expense" (cf. ADB).

Somewhat browned. Wants the engraved t. p. and the preliminaries of the lexicon. Binding rubbed at extremeties. Old Swedish catalogue entry pasted on flyleaf; old ownership removed; ownership "M. Klintberg" to inside of cover.
