In French, to a sick friend: "I have discussed it a great deal [...] with Milord [...] here is the result of our conversation [...] Mr. Bagin should be persuaded to come to England: once here, I would put him on guard against the exploiters and with me he will be able to outmaneuver the cabal which I resist in all the filaments [...] the heart of an Englishman closes itself up again when one has entered it and that it never reopens itself [...]" (transl.).

In fine condition; with light overall toning an some separation at adjoining fold. Together with a hand-coloured lithograph.
