A privately assembled collection of maps and plans showing Napoleon's campaigns and battles, mainly drawn from Johann Friedrich Constantin von Lossau's "Charakteristik der Kriege Napoleons" (1843), the three atlas volumes of which ("Karten und Pläne zur Charakteristik der Kriege Napoleons") appeared between 1843 and 1847. Also, there is a map of Crimea and the Black Sea: "Küsten Karte des Schwarzen Meeres" (drawn by Anton Müller and engraved by H. K. Jungh, printed by F. Kargl). Furthermore, two unlabelled hand-drawn maps ink blue and black ink showing the same area, loosely inserted. Mostly wrinkled, browned and waterstained; some paper flaws. Some plans have hand-drawn additions, annotations or overlays. Pencil notes to flyleaf. Signs of frequent use. From the library of the Viennese collector Werner Habel (1939-2015) with his handwritten and stamped ownership (dated 1976) to pastedown.
