Ordering books from the "Nicolaische Buchhandlung": "Schelver Lebens u. Formengeschichte der Pflanzen / Der deutsche Gilblas - von Göthe / bittet sich aus / Prof. Hegel".

The History of the Life and Forms of the Plant World by the German physician, botanist and natural philosopher Franz Joseph Schelver had just been published by Engelmann in Heidelberg; "Der deutsche Gil Blas oder Leben, Wanderungen und Schicksale Johann Christoph Sachses, eines Thüringers / von ihm selbst verfasst" was another recently-published title. Since 1800 Sachse served as assistant librarian in the Weimar library under Goethe, wo also had contriibuted the preface to the "German Gil Blas".
