Bazzaro applied himself to genre sculpture as well as monumental and sepulchral sculpture, obtaining important commissions including the monument to Giuseppe Garibaldi in Monza in 1886, and, twenty years later, the monument to Felice Cavallotti in Milan.

Tiny marginal tear; traces of a stamp. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
