A co-founder of the graphic artists' association "Die Walze", Meyer-Basel specialized in landscapes inspired by the Munich neighborhood, Lake Constance and Hesse. He created pastels and oil paintings as well as lithographs, etchings and numerous postcards.

Traces of postmarks; small ink spots. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
