Starting out at the Kunstgewerbeschule in his native Nuremberg, Röhm completed his studies at the Munich Academy from 1898 to 1902, where he was appointed professor in 1926. His oeuvre includes city views of Nuremberg and other towns as well as religious motifs and portraits.

Traces of 2 angular folds; small creases near lower left corner; a few tiny ink spots near upper margin; some marks in coloured pencil on verso. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
