One of the most important sculptors of the 20th century, Wrba created some 3,000-4,000 works, taught at the Dresden Academy from 1907, and contributed to the restoration and completion of the Dresden Zwinger, where he directed the work of 53 sculptors from 1911 to 1933, and produced many sculpture groups himself.
Traces of postmarks. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
