Breeding of Pure Bred Arab Horses.
4to. 2 vols. bound in one. (2), 45, (1); (2), 94 pp. With 43 plates of photograph illustrations and reproductions of paintings. Contemporary full cloth with giltstamped cover-title.
Appealing reprint of the first edition of this equestrian work published by His Highness Prince Mohamed Ali in 1935/36 under the auspices of the Royal Agricultural Society, to which the heir presumptive of Egypt and Sudan had presented his manuscript. Mohammed Ali describes the care and breeding of Arab horses as practiced by the Arabs, especially in Egypt, and "gives the reader a picture of the Arabian horse, his treatment and presence in the Middle East" (Boyd/P.).
An excellent copy of a book very hard to find in any edition.
