Titled in Armenian, this manuscript is a Georgian translation of "Mrkanots' hogevor", The Spritual Wheatfield, a brief commentary and Orthodox Christian exegesis. Originally written by an anonymous priest in Armenian, the work takes the catechetic question-and-answer form designed specifically to address the needs of the general public.
The first leaf includes the date 1713 in bold Roman numerals (possibly in reference to the Marseilles-printed Armenian edition of that year, Nersessian 88), and throughout the manuscript are a few small hand-drawn images of the cross. One likely crucifix ink drawing has been clipped away, perhaps for use as a protective talisman, and another includes a small doodle by a later hand, drawing a second bejewelled crucifix and what may be a small figure across from it.
Final leaf removed; one leaf clipped, likely to remove an inked image of a crucifix, slight worming to first few leaves. Marginalia on flyleaves and first leaf. In good condition.
