The earlier letter is written to the wife of the publisher Maurice Delamain, concerning an offer Rosny cannot accept, probably concerning a publication, and suggesting to postpone the project: "J'ai voulu examiner toutes mes possibilités avant de vous écrire : je suis enchaîné. Peut-être plus tard [...] pourrions-nous entreprendre quelque chose, car je trouve l'idée assez séduisante".

In the letter from 1937, Rosny congratulates Jacques Chardonne, a writer and publisher at Stock, on his latest novel "Romanesques".

The visiting card of J.-H. Rosny jeune (1859-1948) is addressed to Maurice Delamain or another director at Librairie Stock. The 1937 letter with mourning border. All objects rust stained from a paper clip.

J.-H. Rosny aîné is considered one of the founding figures of modern science fiction.
