To an unidentified collaborator, concerning the organisation of a concert. Delmas agrees to a change of a note to be sung and tries to mitigate damage caused by a misunderstanding between him and a Mr. Laisney, possibly the composer Victor Laisney, as Delmas "was absolutely ignorant" of the fact that Laisney "was a conductor". Finally, Delmas wants to hire an unnamed singer with a "formidable and splendid soprano voice" for the concert, although Germaine Cernay had already been engaged. So as not to offend Cernay, whom he praises as diligent, Delmas considers splitting the solos between the two singers.
With collector's notes in pencil.
