The earlier letter to a young female playwright, informing her that the actor Louis François Faille, director of the Théâtre de l'Ambigu, is willing to read her play and that she should send it right away: "J'ai parlé à Mr Faille, je lui ai parlé comme il convient du drame que vous m'avez lu. Mr Faille vous prie de le lui envoyer il le lira. Je suis sûre qu'il en sera aussi satisfait que je l’aie été moi-même. Dépêchez-vous, je vous ai écrit à la hâte et vous prie de m'excuser".
The letter from 1876 to a female friend, probably an actress, originally enclosing a letter of introduction to the author and playwright Jules Claretie, later director of the Comédie-Française: "Voilà ma chère amie votre lettre pour Mr Claretie je vous l'envoie pour que vous le voyez aujourd'hui s'il est à Paris, comme je le crois". In a short postscript Rousseil advises her friend to see Claretie immediately after the performance of her "piece", assuring her that she will discuss matters with the playwright and theatre director Raymond Deslandes: "Dépêchez-vous dès que votre pièce sera finie je parlerai à Deslandes".
Largely forgotten today, Rosélia Rousseil was a popular actress of many of the important Parisian stages, including the Odéon and the Comédie-Française.
