A set of illustrated girl scout calendars distributed to Aramco employees in Dhahran. The various illustrations relate to Aramco activities in the compounds as well as scout activities and life in Saudi Arabia in general, including pictures of pearl divers, bedouins and date gardens, desert landscapes and city views of Dammam, Riyadh and Jiddah. Other images show events such as a banquet held in honour of King Saud in 1961 or the mobile oil exhibit at Tabuk in 1965, as well as pictures of scout groups, sport tournaments, and Aramco employees enjoying recreational activities including golfing and water skiing.
With handwritten notes and entries in English by an Aramco employee and his family regarding appointments, birthdays, loaned books and excursions. Several calendars somewhat brownstained. Extremities slightly worn.
