Telephone Directory. Second Air Division.
4to. 34 pp., final blank page. Includes several blank pp. and half-titles. With 3 plans. Original printed wrappers. Stapled.
Phone book for the U.S. Air Force base at Dhahran. Telephone service at the airfield was closely linked to the Aramco facilities located nearby: off-base calls had to be made with the assistance of an Aramco operator at the Dhahran Camp.
Apart from the actual directory, organised in an "alphabetical section", a section of yellow pages, and a "classified section", the book includes three plans of the airfield showing bus routes and labelling important buildings. Further, the directory provides general instructions for phone calls, reminding the caller to be courteous and not to reprimand the operator, as well as the warning that "the telephone is an unclassified means of communications and classified matters will not be discussed".
Front wrapper detached; lower wrapper almost entirely detached.
