Discusses key points of the Five Year Development Plan (1968-72), progress regarding the establishment of the City of Zayed and low cost housing, as well as developments in infrastructure, education, public health, agriculture, aviation, petroleum, finance, defence, tourism, and other sectors of the economy. Further addresses Abu Dhabi's relations with the neighbouring Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Muscat and Oman, the Palestine problem, international conferences and visitors to Abu Dhabi, along with the events leading to the formation of the United Arab Emirates in 1971.
