Collection of invitations for Gian Luigi Chierici, a pioneer of oilfield engineering at Agip (now Eni), to the opening ceremony, receptions, dinner and cocktail parties during the 5th Arab Petroleum Congress that took place in Cairo in 1965. Among the hosts are Aziz Sidki, Deputy Prime Minister for Industry and Mineral Wealth, along with major players of the oil industry, including the American International Oil Company and the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO).

Includes Chierici's ID card as a congress member and a friendly ALS by a colleague, the petroleum engineer A. S. Mekkawy: "With my sincere Thanks & best wishes for a happy stay in 'Egypt'. Hope to see you later [...]".

Very well preserved. A rare survival reflecting the professional network of an expert oil prospector.
