Perhaps to the German conductor and composer Carl Riedel, informing him that he will send the score with its single parts of an unnamed work. Riedel - with whom Borodin became acquainted through Franz Liszt - was a highly respected choral conductor in his native country and was one of the founders of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Musikverein.
