Striking photographs compiled by a member of the US Air Force involved with aerial photography and the production of military maps, stationed in the Middle East. With three rare images of Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, the Emir of Bahrain, and King Saud, the latter surrounded by high-ranking officials.
Features unique images of the photo crew looking over their work, or drying prints in the hot Arabian sun, group photos of flight crew personnel, as well as pictures of aircraft and maintenance work. Trips to Quatif and Bahrain, resulting in impressive images of the walls of the old town of Quatif, Jacob's well, Al-Qudaibiya Palace and two 13th century minarets in Manama, scenes from Jeddah airport with a crowd awaiting the King's arrival, as well as depictions of local farmers and street scenes complete the picture.
