An unusual handwritten letter from Pound, who writes on one side, "Every man has the right to have his ideas examined one at a time. The present tax system is unadulterated shit soaked in stupidity". The reverse bears a few notations in another hand, making reference to the English translator and poet Edward Powys Mathers and his pseudonym "Torquemada".
Written on Ezra Pound's rare personal portrait stationery. A light central vertical fold to the card, some tape remnants to the reverse. Very good.
