Official government handbook issued shortly after the Proclamation of Independence in 1971, documenting Qatar’s political structure, economy, petroleum sector, infrastructure, education, health services, and foreign relations at the outset of statehood. Contemporary photographs depict Doha Port, Rumailah General Hospital operating theatre, ministries, oil installations, technical training, schools, and urban expansion. A sketch map titled Qatar’s Position on the Gulf situates the peninsula between Saudi Arabia, the Trucial States, Iran, and Muscat and Oman.

An early visual and statistical survey of Qatar in the immediate post-independence period, reflecting state-led modernization and oil-driven development in the early 1970s.
