To the numismatist and archaeologist Giulio Cordero di San Quintino (1778-1857), addressed as director of the Museo Egizio in Turin and member of the Accademia reale, informing him that he will not be home that night, and proposing a meeting on Friday: "Lascaris fait ses amitiés à son cher ami S. Lascaris réitère à son incomparable ami [...]".
In 1824, San Quintino had been charged by King Charles Felix of Sardinia to organize and catalogue the collection of Egyptian antiquities acquired from the Franco-Italian collector and diplomat Bernardino Drovetti that formed the core of the new Museo Egizio.
