[Postmark: Copenhagen, 4 May 1916].

8vo (postcard). 1 page.

Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau.

Tuxen, who specialized in flower still lifes and portraits, exhibited regularly at the prestigious Charlottenburg Spring Show in Copenhagen from the middle of the 1880s, her works bearing the unmistakable stamp of the Danish Golden Age of painting.

A few small creases. Self-addressed by the collector. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
