Two issues of the "Gulf Mirror", at the time of its founding in 1971 the only weekly English language newspaper in the Gulf.

Published in Bahrain, the Gulf Mirror catered to English-speaking foreigners, many of whom had arrived to work in the oil industry, or the numerous infrastructure, engineering, and manufacturing roles which opened up with the huge mid-century modernization boom among the Gulf states. Articles announce progress on a Bahrain, Saudi Arabia highways, the effects of striking Indian dock workers on Gulf imports, and even a UFO sighting in Abu Dhabi. A wide-ranging publication, with interesting primary source material on public projects, politics, and business deals in Bahrain and the UAE, as well as sports, leisure, and international news from a Gulf perspective.

Standard creasing, a few hints of smudging; in excellent condition.
