Finely preserved issue of the popular British "Railway Magazine", including an article on the Hejaz Railway by the journalist Cynric Mytton-Davies. His account is illustrated with historical images of the Hejaz station in Damascus, views of trains in the desert, war damage to a railway bridge, and the ruins of Kalat el Mudawara station on the border of Transjordan and the Hejaz Kingdom. Two maps of the railroad, also detailing camel tracks, towns and cities including Amman, Haifa and Jerusalem, complete the picture.
